About Me

/Who Am I

Hello, my name is Amanda Lanicek. Currently, I am a Digital Learning Coach in Texas. My goal is to be an innovative and unconventional facilitator that provides an atmosphere for students’ imaginations to thrive. I am passionate about transforming education to meet the needs of modern-day learners and creating a connected global community to ensure students future achievements. As a classroom educator, I focused on authentic real-world experiences for my learners via Project-Based Learning (PBL).

It is my belief that each individual should possess ownership of their learning. Furthermore, it is important for educators to build a Professional Learning Network (PLN) and continuously learn from one another. Let’s connect!

Keep on fostering that creativity! Let them talk about what their interests are, and encourage them to push past imagination and get creative with as many sources and mediums as they can.

Specialties

/What I do

Though I possess many valuable skills, listed are my three areas of specialty. Professional Learning, Global Connections, and Project Based Learning – when used in proper hands – will enhance learning and instruction for all.

PROFESSIONAL
LEARNING

Collaboration, feedback, and reflection are all aspects of a true lifelong learner. Through presentations, Twitter, Voxer and other mediums I connect around the world with my PLN to share and learn with my peers.

GLOBAL
CONNECTIONS

Bringing industry professionals, world renowned scientist, and schools from all over the world into my classroom afford my students the opportunity to see and experience new cultures and offer them a global mindset.

PROJECT-BASED
LEARNING

Project-Based Learning (PBL) brings learning to life through relevance, collaboration, and creativity. I am extremely passionate about PBL and find that through the process our learners acquire skills to become successful in their future careers.
